I've just got a text message from Jim. Poor old Sylvia has spat the dummy again and parted company from her exhaust. He'll be in Maidstone, Kent tomorrow morning and needs to get a new exhaust fitted at a reasonable price. Does anyone have one or can anyone recommend somewhere that can help?

Have to admit the Service manager seemed very intrigue'd by it all and very willing to help, so a big plus for Maidstone's Fiat dealer.

Alan, thanks a million for speaking to them. The way it turned out Jim had no choice but to take the one the breakdown company found. They wouldn't have helped otherwise. It cost him 180 euros!

He's on the ferry, it sails at 7pm. I'd say he'll be glad to see home.

BTW I love that green 4x4 tailgate the way it's etched into the panel. There seems to be a load of different bit's available to Euro owners. Did he see any of these over there. If you look through the e-per catalogue there seems to be loads of police spec'd panda's.

He didn't mention anything about Panda Panda cars.
