Can anyone describe the location of the flasher unit in the fuse box or even better post a pic with the flasher highlighted? I need to know exactly so I can describe/show it to someone and I can't look at mine because it's 300 miles away.

Thanks very much in advance.

[I seem to recall MEP posting pictures of fuse boxes from his various Pandas quite a while ago but I can't find the thread]

Right, the know it all has arrived

In the pic above the flasher relay is the one in the middle looking at it.

Rick is this for on your rat? What year Panda is it based on? Just if the older mk2's, or mk1 it might have a flasher relay looking like a small silver metal cylinder instead of a small square relay as they're mechanical rather than electronic flasher relays.

My Fuse box pic's are here for refrence if needed https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/157313-bright-idea-2.html?p=1671010

Craig, on the pic in this thread the main beam relay (which is the same one used for dipped beam headlights) is on the far left (and in your car will be on te bottom right when the fuse box is in correctly).

Hope this all helps.

Jon.

When you see that little printed circuit diagram - as on the outer two black boxes (a coil - depicted here by the rectangle with a diagonal line through it, linked to a switch) - this indicates this as a relay. The pins are indicated for the coil and likewise for the switched contacts.
Where you have relays clustered together you can touch/feel the one that is switching rather than trying to listen to which one is clicking.
Often when a relay fails it is due to the fine wire of the coil coming adrift at the contacts. Sometimes this can be resoldered giving your relay a new lease of life! (although any spare wire must be first stripped of its insulating varnish coating)

Yes, it's for the Rat. It was rebuilt using 91/J parts and the fuse box looks exactly like the one firstcar-Y10 posted. I just can't remember which one was the flasher relay.

EDIT:
Oh, and thanks to all for posting and clearing the matter up.
