I need some help...bit of a long shot but i know you guy's are the ones to ask...

I need the rubber boot which goes under the car and protects the gear linkage directly under the gear stick..

My main fiat dealer said it was shown as available from Italy but was later told it was not!!! (Got a refund )

Anyone know where i can get one or does anyone have a boot they are willing to part with???

It's needed for Sid the Sisley....Thanks...

Then buy a 4x4........plus yours has the cable gear change not the rod type....Hehe..

It has rods there.. thats what ic an see when i look down the hole.. not looked under though but cant imagine it changes

Have just spoken to a main dealer, who tells me that the part is still available and that Fiat UK are waiting for fresh stock to be delivered from Italy.

Part number 7602682, " Protection ", current list £14.28 inclusive of VAT.

Think your rod turns into a cable like Lizz (they are in the car not underneath it)

OK, surely the should still be a rubber boot though. when i left the gaiter up you can see the ground.. always thought the should be something there

Probably the reason the lever is so s#it, wobbles like penguin in all gears. Might pay them a visit. might forget thsi thread all together

Hi Craig, yours is indeed Rod controlled iirc.

Yours was old inbetween stock that had to have the in manifold CAT's installed due to the fact that they were being sold after the 1992 emissions crap came in, but built before with the rod's meaning that the in exhaust CAT's wouldn't fit.

Thats also why you've the protector bar thingy that you've recently painted up iirc

Yep, thats the one. Built without the CAT, then imported only to realise they couldn't legally sell them without the CAT, so they bodged it into place sort of thing

Yes it is fuel injection. never did get to the bottom of why it's crap at hills. something for the weekend

Not to my knowldege. and i have loads of paperwork so can't imagine they have been changed. hope not
