5 hours after buying his panda "welsh jon" finally leaves Cornwall !!
Great to meet up, the panda looks good and it seems its going to a brilliant home (y) .Si i gather we have you to thank for the introduction of jon to the wonderfull world of pandas.
We've filled the washer bottle , checked oil, water etc and sent both jon and the panda on their way , look forward to photos of work done etc.
Should see them again next at the spring meet.

Yes, the panda got jon back safely. I think he had quite an adventure for the first few hours of panda ownership. (damn it, i havent been spotted while out and about yet )
Looks like a nice one too. Needs a little work, but cant tell too much at this stage as it was a tad dark!! Some inspection tomorrow maybe :D

May the adventure begin!

Si!

Hey thank you both! That was awesome, will definitely be there for the meet in the Spring :)

Pandering from Penzance was a lot better an experience than I originally thought possible thanks to Graham* and Gina (y)

Will keep you posted on the progress, 1st stop the engine bay I think!

(* reeeealy sorry if I have you'r name wrong here  please correct if I am!)

I am sure there will be more pictures to follow, but to start I'll put up this one.

My car finally has a mate to keep it company  pandatastic!....

Hello welsh jon!
thanks for buying the panda, i think its going to a great home!
Glad it got you home ok, i thought it would in the end.

indeed the first place to start is engine bay, stick bigger engine in there ;)

Csisley, its true, many good times indeed. remember when me and you went off roading in both our 4x4's, and it was really, really funny! (give us a ring tonight)

Thankyou all!

Yes as Huw also left the bottom end of a 1242 in the book I think I'll be looking at that this week with the idea of putting her in this year. The only thing I would like to know is how could you improve the brakes?

easyiest good brake improvement would be a set of front brakes from a panda selecta which i think are a little bigger. then get vented or drilled/slotted disks and good pads (green stuff)

and there are deffinetly some better pads for the rear.

you could make your own brakets and fit punto gt turbo brakes all round and fit 14" wheels. but thats a massive job !

easier again than fitting selecta brakes, polish the inside of the drums a bit, and buy drilled/slotted replacment disks for front. and good pads all round.

i might try dig out some pics of my old 1242 4x4 and huws together.
will see what i can find !

:)

heres a few you might like to see.

ours both together. huw had had his about 3-4 months. mine on the left had just been towed back from south london complete with red boot , haha
