First im murdox from eg. preffered to introduce myself here cause was afraid the possibilities that i can get 0 replies = ur not WELCOME to be here in the Newbie section and its my honor to be a new FF member. Second i have a nice fiat regatta 85 1500CC that i got its engine rebuilt one month ago and i was wondring whats type of oil to use with a rebuilt engine i used to put a 20w-50 mineral oil within it and while breakin the first 500m used the same grade of oil whereas at the recent time of the year weather gets a hotter here in egypt and my car always hits the 110F & i have to mention that we have 2 oil suppliers Mobil & Shell i used to go with mobil xhp 20w-50 and i want to give shell a try whats the type/grade of oil would you suggest for that rebuilt engine?!

i meant that my car always hits the 110C which actually equals 230F , sry for that...

I reckon Mobil XHP 20W50 is a good choice as it meets ACEA A3 spec.

What are your typical ambient temps in Egypt?

You can get Shell Helix Super in 20W50 but this meets ACEA A2, so the Mobil XHP is a better oil but both are good.

Dan89 -- hey danny, temp approximately summer 35-40c | winter 18-28c, and as i said before i used to put mobil xhp 20w-50 within it, what about using a lower viscosity oil with a rebuit engine?! shell recommends shell helix super 15w-40...
