My 128 is an uno 1300 engine which has been balanced, 1100 head on it, twin throat weber 32mm carb and reasonable 4-2-1 exhaust. I have the 128 wagon gearbox. It can easily pull away from 1.7L Alfas etc. Dynoed once, the man doing it didn't want to take it past 5000rpm so only 55hp at the wheels, however it revs to 8000 so I would think it would be around the 90hp range at the crank. It has been raced heaps and I have no problems with the body cracking up. I would think you could easily get your 100hp out of the 1500 but you may need to reconsider the 'stock' bits and pieces.
