Been having probs with starting over past year or so but she always turns over and starts 2nd or 3rd time. This morning she sounded almost ready to go on first turn but by second attempt, just gave up. There was a click when trying to turn her over but that’s stopped now too. Battery is approx 18 months old. I’ve attached video to show what dash lights are doing when trying to turn her over. Any help/suggestions gratefully appreciated.

NO video that I can see...Its now sat doing nothing?..was it a daily drive?..Considered jump starting it and taking it to Halfords for a free checkup?..Was/is the battery a quality make with a guarantee?...

If all you got when turning the key was a click and the motor not even trying to start then it's quite possibly the starter motor might have given up the ghost. Double check to make sure the wires are still attached to it. This is assuming all lights etc work so as to rule out the battery being flat.

So to start I have a 1.9 myself and having had this problem befoe I'd chck a couple of things. Battery is the first, then that the starter works because if the battery was low it could damage the starter and possiblycause burn out. Also extra cranking causes stress on both the battery and the starter. Next thing could be to check the glow plugs, if like mine theyve never been changed and have now seized into the engine block. In this case try turning the ignition on and off a few times to cycle them and fire it up, once the battery is chargedof course.
