Hi everybody!

So I've come here looking for some advice. I'm in the market for a small pocket-rocket runaround. I've never owned a Fiat but I have been offered a ~2000 Punto HGT 1.8 Abarth in a stunning blue colour (currently I do not know the milage) it does seem to have a few aftermarket parts.

However I'm a little lost as what to look out for in terms of mechanics/electronics etc, I hoping you lovely lot can steer me in the right direction.

My current research has revolved around cash value which seems to be between £500-£1200 depending on the usual condition, mileage etc please correct me if I'm wrong with my findings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Haxe a SEARCH of the punto 2/b section.

Generally a sound car.

Engine is moderately stressed..so servicing is important..cambelt and pulleys ..

Rust in the underside is what generally kills the mk2.

Personally..if the test drive and visuals havent put you off..

Pjt it in for a cut.price MOT... could be £30 very well spent

They suffer from all the daft issues of the base 1.2 cars also.
