Hello everyone!

I have just become the proud owner of a 1995 Panda Select CVT!

I grabbed it for £450 and its in great condition and had only done 47k miles! Drives nice however when I put my foot down going up hill it seems to rev alot and doesnt pull to well up hill. Any ideas?? Sorry for the question.....I am new to Fiat

Kind regards
Marc

You need MEP for this one. (Most Easterly Pandas) he is the forum expert or Vernon.

Selecta clutches can be a nightmare as no-one relly deals with them these days as they are so rare
They either work or they don't.

Good luck
Dave

It’s basically loads of iron fillings that become solid when the electric clutch thingy works driving the steel belt drive.
That’s all I know , but selectas can be made to go fast very fast
Santa pod type fast.

Its an automatic model, It gets to 60mph pretty quickly but doesnt like uphill very much... I heard that there us a sensor that can get a bit dodgy, I will try and replace it and see what happens. As its only done 47k miles i thought that the gear box should be okay.............but i am new to fiat very new, in fact last week I was on holiday in Italy and basically loved the fact that they still use the older Pandas over there and I said to my girlfriend that I will get one when we are back! Literally the day after we got back I got one!!

yeah... they do that. of all the cars i have had.. the panda is still the most "happy" car to drive.

i must look like a right idiot driving around in my crazy 4x4 panda with a huge grin on my face because i pretty much always am smiling when i drive the thing. its a real "feel good" car. as crazy as that sounds.
