hi all

I'm completely new to this - have had my fiat 500 for just over a year and i love it ! the car is 7 years old - came home last night and - excessive rad fluid message came up - googled what it meant - got a new battery fitted and coolant today - drove home approx 9 miles - got exactly the same message again - there is also no heat coming from the vents (although the fan is working!) - any ideas from you very clever people xxx

Hi, and welcome, :)

did you have to top-up the coolant to get it past Min...??

IF it got LOW then it can draw air, that'll upset the heater..,

out of interest.. why the new battery..?
a poor electrical supply - from a failing battery , can make all sorts of error lights / messages appear, as the sensors under the bonnet look for a stable 12 Volt supply,
if the battery is struggling - the effort to start the engine means they get starved of power.. and flag up a fault..,

Did you/they open the bleed valve on the heater hose when re filling it? If not there may be an air lock, and is likely to have too little water here's a pic of where it is x marks the spot next where did the water go in the first place?
