Hi all
New to the forum, but need to pick your brains as my 55 plate 1.3 multijet cargo is driving me insane!
I bought the van with a start issue thinking it would be glow plugs, but had it checked out and its not that.
Also as ive never had a fiat diesel before i thought it was the norm for a 1.3 to be flat and reluctant to rev with power beyond 3,100 rpm. Ive since been told they are very pokey for a small diesel and should rev with power up to 4,000-5,000 rpm
I have had a spil test on injectors ..glow plugs ok fuel pump test ok new air filter oil switch and oil (garage done it along with battery) it has done 96,000 miles
And sometimes starts 1st time, but mostly 4-8 turns of key, and yes i do wait for glow plug light to go out ☺
Any ideas please?

sounds to me like an EGR issue.. but the folks in there will have more info..

with ALL modern stuff a decent code reading set-up will soon pay for itself,
