bought car punto 2011 a month ago back in garage 3 times since the problem is it is losing power lights start to flash on dash board mechanic rang me yesterday to say he has changed ignition coil but keping car for a few days to test the following lights came on GENERIC Failure Indication (amber triangle) and Injection System Failure EOBD System Failure (amber light). Am really worried i bought a dud car also very worried in case it happens again while i am overftaking does not bear to think about what could happen, would really love your opinions on this

do a SEARCH of the Grande punto section for these faults..,

I've read a few similar posts in the last few months..,

Not got full history and any warranty left? I had issue a couple years back needed a new coil pack, but it just through a fault no power loss. (1.4 8v)

Its currently with a Fiat Garage am waiting to see what they have to say about it today, Hopefully this will be the end of my troubles

I suspect it's a poor earth/ground issue,
bad wiring..or the "old-faithful" damp in fusebox due to poor fitting lid..,

please do let us know what the FIAT technician reports,

My garage sent computer reading to the UK technicians and they said the timing was out a little, garage said they have repaired it and have sent readings back to UK technicians. That was yesterday (Tuesday) garage want to keep my car till friday to do further tests. (i reckon i am not been told the full story) will keep you updated

out of interest what engine is in it..??

petrol 1.2 / 1.4,

Petrol, got a call from garage and said all was ok and i can collect it tomorrow, so fingers crossed problem solved. I have asked garage for a list of things done to car as it is still under warrenty will update soon
