I started getting involved with Fiat twin cams about 20 years ago. I bought a trike with an 1800 tc in it and promptly rebuilt it leaving very little of the original trike left, Triggers broom. I rebuilt it using a 1970 1603 Spider engine That I found in an outside toilet. The guy I got it from said it came out of a spider that was brought over as a demonstrator at a car show and on stripping it had done very little mileage. I still own the trike. I started collecting tc bits, making tools and came to respect this engine and at a later time built a quick 2ltr Abarth unit to go into a much modified Dutton to be used as a track day car, using parts from Guy Croft. This engine used twin 40 webbers, an accumulator oil cooler system, lumpy cams, forged pistons etc and was very rapid. about five years ago I sold on a lot of the tc bits when I sold the Dutton but retained some bits, about 200 shims, gaskets an early gearbox, an auto box and lots of other stuff. But here's the problem. about 3 years ago I had spinal cord damage and am basically house bound. I have finally decided to dispose of various things including my much loved Harley and the trike, not easy decisions. I am concerned that whoever has the trike will not appreciate the old engine and I am wondering if it.s worth gettin the engine out as it would probably complete someones rebuild project. So I'm looking for some advice, the engine number is 125 BC 000 504213, it last ran about 3 years ago, has twin IDF drowndraught Webbers and has had had regular oil changes with the right oil and filters and has probably only done about 10,000 miles since it was originally put in the trike, when all the engine was original dimensions, bore, bearings etc. What I'm asking is should I get the engine out or let it go with the trike? Input please.

Hi, well there's the point, ordinary 1800 engines are not so rare and I'm trying to gauge whether to sell it separately or leave it in the trike.
