Another newbie to the forum and fiats, great forum by the way.
Am having a problem with my mk1 punto, it mists up inside. Now I've found a wet patch in the drivers' footwell about where your heels would be when you drive and as far as I can tell under the carpet is dry so I suspect that the heater matrix may be leaking, is this a common fault? The surrounding carpet seems to be bone dry and I can't see any obvious watermarks. I don't have a sunroof and all the shutlines are straight although I can hear a noise like an open window coming from the back of the car when I drive (all the windows are properly closed ). The moisture on the carpet feels kind of greasy between your fingers like it's not rainwater and the mist on the windows just doesn't look normal, kind of thick if you get my meaning. I'm hoping this might ring some bells with the more seasoned punto owner (I've had the car a month and put the mist down to the bad weather at the time of purchase). To this end does anyone Know how the dashboard and matrix come out? I've checked the site guides and not found one for their removal. Have only just started to monitor the coolant level so I don't have a clear indication if the matrix is definately leaking. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!
