Can any body help me work out why the car is telling me I need fuel when I had half a tank left init when I left work. There is no sign of a fuel leak any where car runs fine

What's the gauge showing?
Like the spurious oil level warnings that mine throws up regularly, I wouldn't pay much attention to it if you're sure you have plenty in the tank.

I would regularly run my last Multi down to a couple of mm below the empty mark, and only fill up after the fourth warning message/beeping.

My will run for ages on empty- did this until I actually ran out!
Luckily wasn't too far from home- got some diesel in can and sloshed it in. Started fine too- some diesels I have known needed system bleeding before they would restart.

Computer probably having a mardy?

Does the fuel gauge move at all, or stay showing the same level no matter how much fuel is in the tank?

Hi all it was showing I had no fuel and bleeping saying empty tank new I had half a tsnk as it worked when I left work. I went to take my daughter to rainbows and that's when it said I had non. So I drove it to work today still saying I had no fuel (it's 20 miles to my work) on my lunch break I pulled some fuses out to see if they had blown all where fine and the gauge works now. Love my multipla just hate electronics. Much better than my old galaxy

Could just be something as simple as a dodgy contact on the fuse then.
