The front where the sunroof switches are am I missing something ??? I have mastic and have used it to seal the rear for now as being London never no when its gonna rain have sealed all the channel round the glass will this do till the summer ??

Little help needed fast its raing hard I've sealed sunroof and its still peeking any ideas. Have now sealed the glass down and the gullys as have had hard rain tonight and is still leaking

There are no drain holes in the roof linking. The main seal where the glass sits does not side flush to the glass and leaves a gap letting water in. You could try some seal rejuvenator called krtyox from either a Vauxhall dealer or a VW dealer. Its not cheap though about £32 plus vat. This stops the seals from going hard. When I had this problem I just stuffed a towel behind the switches. The water collects in the roof then drains from the sides, the are no hoses or catch areas. It really is poor design from fiat on this one...

It's probably not leaking between the glass and the rubber seal - far more likely that it's between the (painted metal) roof panel and the hard black plastic surround. Get yourself some Captain Tolleys from ebay and a hair drier:

The pan for the sunroofs is an aluminium pressing, bonded to the steel roof panel with a mastic adhesive. Because of the different expansion rates of steel and aluminium, the mastic eventually lets go. Then you get a leak.

Have had a look at both threads sealed every thing up with mastic and will crack it all back open when the weather is better of if some one on here noes what they are doing and wants to earn a bit of cash and can sort it I would be happy live in east London / north London Essex area

Quite common for radio aerial to leak at base sometimes through base take out interior light and water test it,mine. Was leaking through aerial base itself

Ours had road gravel and dirt on the sunroof seal, must have been like that for years. Quick clean and it hasnt leaked again. BUT I did try re-sealing the aerial first though !

My rear one leaked for the first time in my ownership following all of that rain we had at the beginning of the year. All I did was clean the rubber seal and smeared on a little bit of vaseline. Hasn't leaked since?
