Im replacing the head on my 1.6 16v -00
And as far as i can find out the head bolts (RIBE M12) is supposed to be tightend i 4 steps 20Nm, 40Nm, 90degrees and 90 degrees, but im wondering if that is correct.
Because i have also seen information that i shall run the engine in between the 90 degrees tightening?
But is that for an older engine because then i have to fit the belt and camheads before i can run the engine and then have to remove them againg to be able to do the 90degrees.
Have i got information about the wrong engine? My cams are mounted in separate housings fitted on top of the head and i have to remove them to be able to reach the head bolts. Are there another tightening procedure on that engine?
And furthermore i can fint the tightening torque for the camshaft housings they are fitted with 10pcs torx bolts each. On my old head somebody had messed with it and destoyed the threads on 4 of them and i dont want to do that...
