I've been very keen on getting a Multi for a little while now. I have watched a few on eBay and looked on other online sites (my local paper never has one for sale!)

Last night, I bid for and won my car! It's actually being delivered to me on Friday morning (gulp) and I am so, so excited! Keep everything crossed for me please. I will post a piccie of my new baby as soon as I can, as well as on the Essex Multipla site on Facebook!!

All this, and I haven't even sold my Zaffie yet! Someone is coming to valet/mop it on Monday and then the "FOR SALE" sign goes up! Just hope it goes quickly as the thought of having to insure both cars would not be good!

Don't suppose anyone knows any good, cheap, reliable Multipla experts/mechanics in mid-Essex? The local bloke who usually does my servicing said he'd never worked on a Fiat before!

Look forward to getting to know you folks.

Thanks. Looking at various messages, also has two keys which are remote controlled, all electrics in working order including all of the electric windows and the twin sunroofs which are totally water tight, handbook, service book and other documentation. I did an HPI check on the car, all OK. They have a smaller car now. Seems very genuine.... really hope so.

Aw man i hate that colour:D the one you have is one of the best imho.

The couple brought it over to me today - I am now the proud new owner of a Fiat Multipla 1.9 JTD ELX in Canarie Blue, also to to be known as Fifi (unless I think of another name)! It's only when my son mentioned the lack of a CD player that I realised it didn't have one! It's only got the original tape/radio.

I had a quick drive in it with the couple and I felt like I was learning to drive all over again, cos the handbrake is down the right hand side and the gearstick is on the dashboard! It'll take me a while to get used to it. I couldn't seem to get it in gear properly but I'm sure I'll get used to it soon.

Had to pay about £140 MORE on my car insurance to insure this car - blimey, didn't realise how expensive it would be. Then again, I've only got till mid-May before I can look round for new quotes. If I'd cancelled my current insurance and gone for a full year from today, it would've been £400 (less £109 refund from my current insurance). I have read on one of these forums that we can get slightly cheaper insurance from a certain company so I'll remember that when it comes to renewal time.

Just need to sell my Zaffie now. It's getting a scrub up on Monday and then roll up, roll up! (y)

CD players are cheap as chips.

Make sure clutch slave cylinder isn't leaking (common fault) which could explain problems getting into gear. Not smoothest gearchange to be honest but with that turbo nice slow deliberate gear changes are fine followed by loads of throttle:devil:

Hi, You will love it Im sure!(y) When we first ever got ours I used to jump out of my skin at times as it beeps to warn you of ice, so now you are warned :D Also watch the kids dont press the rear interior lights on and forget to press them back off as they dont go off with the others and will drain your battery. Happy driving!!:)

When we bought our first multi I had a discusion with my children about whether it was male or female. At the time I won the argument and said he was male as he didnt have cc bumpers.Hes blue and called Bertie. We also decided the ones with cc bumpers must be female, we have just got another blue one with cc bumpers and Im calling her Betty. BTW your multi looks fab I bet your so proud of her you will be smitten in no time:). My neighbours thought it was hilarious when I brought our second multi home:ROFLMAO:.They couldnt believe I bought the first one let alone gone out and bought another!! Never mind I love mine that much Im quite happy being misunderstood.:D:D

What's a cc bumper?!! Bertie is a nice name. Hubby's suggested Marmite (you either love them or hate them!) so we might call it that. Drove it again today and got a bit more used to the gears. Being in a different place to normal, it feels like neutral should be lower rather than where it is. Just something to get used to.

Also, could you remind me where the interior light switches are?! I'll make sure the kids know they shouldn't keep on pressing them!

Oh, are they OK to put through a normal car wash? I ask cos of the position of the aerial which is near the front part of the roof by the first sunroof. Not sure if the top brush in the car wash would hit and dislodge it which is what happened when we had a Scenic.

Marmite/Fifi needs a wash inside and out actually, and then she'll sparkle! :slayer:
