Hi I can not open the boot by the micro switch is there a fuse for it or has the switch gone it is on a 2005 reg and my alarm seems not to be working as when i lock the doors by the fob the alarm does not activate any help please

mk2 i think it has the new style front not the frog eyed look

I popped a number plate light out and lashed WD40 into the button mech, then followed up with silicon spray.
I think Fiat owners should get a WD40 discount.

The boot realease switch can get gummed up over time. This thread might help:

i have got a price from fiat and to get a new boot switch is £78

Sorce one from a breakers only takes 5. Mins to change and u can keep the same lock
