Grande Punto My Grande Punto "Winston"

Introduction

Hello All,

I have been a member on the forum for a few months and been reading the site most days, I only passed my test in September 2011 and got my GP at the end of September 2011. Please take a look at my GP and please give me some ideas as to what mods I should undertake to next.

Please note I already plan to have the following done:-

1) Lower the back and front.
2) Install a K&N 57I Induction Kit (depending on the feedback I get from you guys.
3) Chrome upper and lower front grille.
4) X-one roof spoiler.

Any other mods anyone can think of that would make my GP look the best it can look would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards
Stephen
Hi All,

I have just bought a new leather gaiter for the gear stick and one for the handbrake. I also thought whilst I was on I would get matching ones for the door handles. As I am going to recover the door cards at some point with leather.

I am also thinking about tiniting the front fog lights be as ever I am unsure.

Regards

Stephen

I was considering the door handle covers too could you let me know what you think Stephen? The car looks nice in your latest pics mate but I agree about the chrome strip maybe if you put it across the lip of the bumper where the boot meets it would keep the chrome theme running around the back of the car but look less in your face as it does at the moment.

Jordan.

Let us know if the gear gaitor comes with the silver surround? Been looking at that one myself

You only get the gaiter, bought mine a few months ago and there really good quality. Much better than the original. The silver surround is found only on sporting models if I remember correctly. See if you can find one that's breaking on eBay, should only be a couple of quid.

This is the damage I caused as the car slid on ice and my drivers side alloy met the curb:

Anyone know of a DIY fix as I am not willing to pay any great amount to get it fixed as I am looking at an upgrade for the alloys anyways at some point during this year!

Even so I am still rather annoyed about it :bang:

awh no :( This is one reason why i drive with winter wheels, not that bothered if i hit them on a kerb if i loose on control.

you can easilly get the scratches out, depends how confident you are with following youtube guides.

Unlucky stephen. If its any consolation i did a handbrake turn today and mounted a curb with a crunch. Serves me right for being a complete pillock mind

ofcourse i'm running my red steels though :yum:

Afternoon all went for a quote today to get the back three windows tinted and the two small peices of glass at the front. I wont name the company but they wanted £250.00. I do not believe this to be a good price. If anyone knows of a window tinting company in Newcastle/Gateshead?

Do some shopping about man, average cost I got quoted for the 3 windows was £100 roughly, patience is a virtue though I eventually found a fella that done them for £60 and I just had to drive about 10 minutes further than the other detailers.

Hello Guys

A quick update:

My gear gaiter and handbrake gaiter should be here on Wednesday. :D I have chosen both gaiters with a light grey stitch to match the interior.

Also, my new gear gaiter surround a silver one arrived this morning which means I can carry on with the chrome/silver theme. :slayer:

Further, by popular demand I have removed the chrome trim from around he tailgate.

A few pics from the weekend:-

I must admit having the chrome trim removed from the tailgate does give the car a cleaner look. Thank you to all who pursuaded me to take it off (y).

Regards
Stephen
