Bravo Bravo Abarth Conversion.

Introduction

I always thought that the Bravo is such a beautiful car and would look amazing in Abarth livery. So I set out on this project which I have really enjoyed doing. I also really love the hidden exhausts rather than the twin pipes on the back also which is why I have no plans to change the back end of the box. Currently Running at a "restricted" 175BHP and 209ft/lb of torque, it currently has more torque than the 695 Tribute 500!

So i've slowly been doing work to my Bravo over the last 1.5years! Thought it was finally time to post up whats been done and get some opinions! Won't be for everyone but welcome all opinions! :D

So I started with my 150 T-Jet below (as standard)

So my first modification was Hid's which were 4300k's:

Then I got my GSR installed and remapped:

I have some restrictive problems with my Cat on the exhaust, which is backing up my exhaust so my power is flat-lining higher up. This will be sorted in the next couple of months. It's plenty fast enough at the moment.

Next I got my Abarth badges and Alloy wheels for my car:

Afterwards I made a new Abarth Key in the new style:

And I got a new engine cover and set of car mats to go with it:

And finally, replaced my steering wheel with a new one from a 500 Abarth:

When I finally get my new Exhaust parts I can also fit my Esseesse boost sensors to regulate the boost better too:

So with that completed so far, some further modifications include:
-New downpipe with sport cat from TMC and Esseesse boost sensors
-Grande Punto Abarth Seats
-Maybe some new Springs and Dampeners
-New Brakes/Tyres

Thanks For Looking! :D
Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

how much did the steering wheel set you back? and where did you get the front and rear badges from? cheers

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

I think your choice on the hidden exhaust isn't very Abarth. I meant that's how Abarth was started, tuning exhausts. So hiding it doesn't the sound right thing to do

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

i think it looks great mate! (y) ,i really like the bravo, and i think they should have made a boneified sports version - maybe even "abarthed" it?, especially as it has more or less the same engine as the abarth punto which is gotta be good for , what, 180bhp? i agree with an above statement about the boot spoiler.... they allways finish a car off nicely :)

how difficult (or easy?) was the punto steering wheel to adapt?

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

As Rob said it has the same engine and turbo that is the the Abarth already!

Needs a tailgate spoiler and lose the mud flaps otherwise great (y)

I was thinking the same about getting the tailgate spoiler Rob but I wasn't too sure. I still am thinking about it though. need to find one at a sensible price too! Fiat things are NOT cheap :D

The steering wheel has taken months for the right parts to come up, if you buy it whole it costs a FORTUNE! cost me about £250 in total (£160 was for the airbag alone!) Front and rear badges I got from a German website, I'll have to see if I can find it again.

GYoung87, I do see you point about the exhausts, but the curves on the bravo back end are so nice and I think visible exhaust might make it look uneven and spoil it abit. This may change in the future and thanks for the input!

Also on a side note, just got my engine cover on :p

Steering wheel went straight on, no modification required, and its a 500 steering wheel not a GP one! it is very similar in power current Abarth's and seems to be able to get a loada torque for a petrol engine.

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Try to find a sport rear bumper as it looks more sporty with the diffuser style
Likewise get a sport tailgate with the spoiler

You are planning an better exhaust anyway so you want to show it (y)

I've got the other type of dffuser in my garage hanging up need the exhaust to go with it! It just swaps over by unclipping the bottom.!

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

really nice car, you should be proud, i agree with the comments about getting an exhaust on show, not only will it sound better it will give you the look your going for. I would sugest a custom built one to your taste tho. not a sportex or somthing like that

good luck with your plans in the future

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

I was thinking about the Red bits but didnt know if was too much for the outside of it? I would like to see what it WOULD look like, but im not great at photoshop!

Pictures below of the side emblems. had to place them slightly higher due to 5 doors and the fuel area, but I think they are well placed. :p

I like the spoiler but the standard one is cheaper to but than that one, I think they are pretty similar? I have not seen the spoiler on a Bravo before so I got nothing to reference it by! which is abit of a pain!

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Super ride! good idea with the motor shield! and the GSR looks the dogs you know what! :p

...Just mounted my Cadamuro spoiler in stead of the sport one :D:D:D

.. its way nicer, bigger and much more visible than the sport spoiler!... also ... im at 22 scorpions as we speak ;)

In a weeks time Ill have some photos hopefully :p - I really recommend the Cadamuro spoiler!
