Seicento Zippy!!.

Introduction

finally got some pics sorted of my first seicento, hes a 899 sx with BIG plans :D

already done:

sporting front seats
fresh headgasket
full cat back powerflow system from a cinq sporting
35mm apex springs
abarth spoiler
black headlight mod

to come:

a set of 15" 7 spoke brava alloys (pics to follow)
full respray in capri blue (removing any knocks and dints along the way)
full polybush kit
gt front and rear brake conversion
full sporting loom transfer ready for a possible 1.4 16v conversion in a year or so (maybe a winter project (y)

He has a bit of a scrape on the front bumper but that will be changed for a sporting one before the planned respray so not too worrying at the moment

hiya mate, cheers for the comment, insurance prices seem to be killing everyone off at the moment, i pay silly money for mine but im not going to be put off doing what i love doing

funnily enought i had a set of superlights in white that i was going to put on mine, perfect for the euro lok but i didnt like them and after seein the brava wheels i was determind to make them fit :D

hopefully im going to prove a few folk wrong on here and get 60mm on 15s even if it means a whole loada work

Today ive been working on the sound system and managed to melt the fuse into the +ve amp wire after plugging up 4 12" subs, hoping to get some thicker guage wire to run and will be intalling a 2farad powercap and 2 more amps ( 2 for subs 1 for components) and maybe even a set of 6x9s

the aim is low slow and loud :) then the upgrades will begin ready for a 16v conversion at somepoint next year

cheers again

And now for the question

As in previous post I have issues with getting my wheels on, my question is what recommendations do you have or do I need to get a better pic maybe with a tape measure so gives you a better idea ?? Any ideas on wht size spacers I will need or any easy ways to work it out ect, i was planning on putting 10mm spacers but have been told it's stupid to do that on the rears

Here's my problem :(

Re: Zippy!!

written on the edge of the face of the wheel is
6jx15h2-40

written on the back of the spokes we have
GAISi7Mg ITALY,
SL1377 speedline,
a date stamp,
T08E,
6b8551,
B412,

these are the only markings i can see on the wheels, i have googled most of the numbers yet i cant work out what the wheels are or a part number

i know they come from a brava hsx

cheers

Re: Zippy!!

Right i don't consider myself an expert at this so if anyone wants to correct me, go for it..

So those wheels you have are 6" wide & ET40
standard sei 13" alloys iirc are 5.5" wide & ET29

using this gives this result:
inside edge of your wheel sits 17mm further in
and the outside edge will be 5mm furhter in

So 15mm spacers on the rear will bring the wheel within 2mm of where a standard alloy would be but the outer edge will be 10mm further out. Your front wheels need to be spaced at least as much as the back and preferably a little more but they might stick out too much.. You might get away with 10mm spacers on the back but from the picture looks doubtful. Going lower makes it worse so all that stereo pushing down on the rear won't be helping none. What size tyres have you got on them??

Re: Zippy!!

tyres are 195/45/15

looking although hubcentric wheel spaces are going to be needed then and the arches are going to need to be flaired or some aftermarket arches fitted??

its already 35mm lower but im convinced these wheels are going on :) whatever it costs lol

cheers

Re: Zippy!!

So today I made the descision to get rid of all the sound system kinda realized this was getting to be one of those 'chav' cars and that really isn't what i wanted,

Rear seats are going back in until the 1.4 conversion when I will put in a full cage

I spent half the day sunday washing and polishing zippy and just got more and more disheartened as I found more and more stone chips ( to be expected for a car with 112,000 miles on the clock),although I did receive my rotary polisher this last weekend so hopefully when I get a nice day I might start filling the stonechips and give him a full wet flat down followed by a buff back up to make him all shiney again

Anyway as I said the whole of the sound system is out and hopefully from selling the bass boxes and various amps and sets of 6x9s I should be able to get my wheel spacers to get the wheels on

Have taken some pics which I will add tomorrow

Cheers

Lee

Re: Zippy!!

Yeah, you should weigh all the subs etc and then see how much weight youve lost by taking them all out, Ive got one 12" sub in my car and that does the job for me :p

Re: Zippy!!

im glad you took that stuff out before some chav stole it when your tucked up in bed :)

what bhp do these cars have as stock?

and what are you getting out of it atm?
