Couple of videos (without LSD)

I understand the desire for a normal air box and I agree that you can easily make things worse or cause other problems if you don't do a very good job or use poor quality filters. The standard 16v air boxes don't fit due to bonnet interference though or I probably would have got one when I changed the layout earlier this year.

The engine bay now looks like this (manifold and precarious fan position temporary for recent MOT!)

I presume you have a MK3 (2003-) 1108cc Panda. You could easily swap the engine and connect it all up, yes. You would then have to swap ALL of the car wiring and ECUs from a 1.4 Panda too. Unless you have access to a very cheap complete 1.4 Panda and have a lot of time, it would not make much sense to most people. But perhaps you are rich, bored and crazy, in which case go for it and I will be glad to give advice as you go along.

Nope, i mean in a 2002 1100 Young.
It make no sense to put a 1400 engine in a car that already have a 1100 engine in it.
In that case it make more sense to buy a 100 hp.

OK. In which case the gearbox is not the same, but a 1.4 will go straight in like my car. 3rd party electronics will be neater and easier to do for most people, but expensive unless you go with a very DIY solution. Such things are covered extensively elsewhere on the forum.

Yes, you can prepare the car and swap engines in a day if you research the little bits you need to do. The fuelling of the engine is the part which is not simple. A 1242cc 16v engine is more often done because you can use a Mk1 Punto ECU and splice it in with just a handfull of wires. By the time 1.4s were in use, the electronics worked in a fully integrated way and can not be as easily separated.

THX, for your time and reply's.
I have seen enough and it's to much hassel for my likings.
No way, i will even start , engine swap is a closed book of as now.

If i want more speed i will look for other ways, or other car. ;)

Loving this car! I've just bought a Panda Bianca and was wandering if I could fit later engines, I may have to pick your brains some time!
