Silver Bullets replacement (caution pic heavy)

Introduction

My shiny Suzuki Swift 1.5 glx when I got it back home after what can only be described as hours of hell at the dealer

Staring down its predecessor, still bloody unsold.

The interior which seems well screwed together, but has things like exposed screwheads and no soft touch surfaces.

A 1.5VVT lump, quite nice motor but long gearing for a small car 3k at 70mph does blunt its pull in higher gears...Tho it has a timing chain so now belts to worry about

And thought i'd post a pic of the dash in the dark cos I reckon it looks cool(y)
nice. Is it actually pink or is that the camera? :p

loving the dashboard....

isnt it great to get out of a last-century car and into a more modern one :D:slayer:

EDIT: you were at Alston, Northumbria? why didnt you say, i would have came over for the crack :D

Planning some mods for this one once my bank balance is a bit healthier, Is odd as Swift owners club advocate decat pipes for them, which judging by here is a bad idea on small N/A motors, Also can't decide on conicle or panel filter also remapping is in its infancy for them so not many places are good at apparently. Blocks are strong enough to take NOS,turbos or supercharging so I could go nuts if I wanted but that will have to wait till I see how it goes first.

if you can sort insurance/not bothered, then i would whack some NOS on it, its very cheap for a kit off ebay these days, and if you have a 25 shot and use it sparingly, you can make a bottle last ages.

Nice car, the M15A engine is same as the Ignis Sport but with less power and longer gears, Ignis had much shorter ratios 70mph was 3500rpm.

Do not de-CAT it the CAT on the Ignis at least was in two parts, a nice tubular manifold which went 4-2CAT-1, so the gains to be had by removing
are negliagle, I know someone who runs at Castle Combe in LMA series in a Ignis Sport with no cat and his car only made 1bhp more than mine did with it, 122Vs 121.

There are loads of tuning goodies for them from Suzuki Sport themselves, much more expensive than after market but much much better.

Owners club http://www.sisoc.co.uk/ where you can read about Matt88's Rotrex Supercharged Ignis Sport puts out about 180bhp IIRC, he works for Perfect Touch tuning/mapping/rolling road place used many many Fiat Coupe owners.

I like the Swift Sport, what car at that price has forged pistons, oil jet sprays on back of pistons and a port matched flowed inlet manifold all as standard, awesome!
