Can anyone help me ????

Yesterday a 10amp fuse blew that controls all of the dashboard dials and warning lights etc. Replaced this and everything came back to life only now I have the airbag warning light on all the time.

All of the other fuses are ok and there was no reason for the fuse to blow in the 1st place.

I have spoken to Fiat and they want £58 to just look at the airbag system.
Could I have knocked something in the fuse box area ??
Any ideas ??

The airbag light latches in when the fuse blows and the key is turned on.

It has to be reset at a garage. £58 is a bit over the top though, look for someone to do it for you at about £20-£30.

Worst case scenario it will need a new airbag ecu. If you're worried then get it done. I paid £30 last time I had it done, might be less now as I've been there a few times and said good things about them here

stick some tape over the sensor. it still works but it should stop the light.

Over what sensor?

Ive got a m8 who works in a garage, he once replaced my fan but removed the fuse before hand, he then forgot to replace the fuse before switching on the ignition, thus causing the airbag light to stay lit.

I checked the manual and it does actually state if you turn on the ignition when a fuse is taken out the airbag light will iluminate.

Best thing to do is try one of the local garages who have a tester, they will probs just charge you £10 to reset it
