Hello all,
I have just purchased a T plate Marea Weekend 2.0 20v and just want to say I think they are fabulous cars. The car is a dream and I paid next to nothing for it, the only problem is the rear end is a little messy - it needs a new drop down tailgate (not desparately). Second thing I would like to mention is that this site is brilliant and I have already got a few ideas form all you guys as to what I want to do to my little beast! I am going to look into dropping a turbo (or possibly a supercharger?) under the bonnet and see what knid of result I get - have to say that the car doesn't really need it as they are quick estates anyway!
Anyway thank you to the creators and those that maintain such a good site and I'll be back to you soon!

yeah take parts from the coupe 2.0L 20v turbo- they are 220bhp

yeah get the turbo and manifold and all the associated parts and it will go like a rocket

Thought you needed the full engine to stop the pots from melting?

Judging by what some of my colleagues say over at the B.O.O forum, it's not as simple as bolting the "missing" turbo parts on. It is a lot more complex and you'd be looking at £2-3000 for a garage to carry out that work, and not much less if you did it yourself.

One or two have done it, but it's not an easy, or cheap, thing to do.

:spin:Thank you all for your replies, I have looked into the turbo and it would probably cost round about £1000 to do it myself and I definitely cant afford to do that.....especially after picking up a brand new set of 17" stilo alloys! I think a bit of interior styling will be the next job.

naughty boy,i told you on msn about the compression ratio

as said its much easier to drop in an entire turbo engine than splitting your N/A 20v to add low comp pistons etc
