Styling tyre width on HLX

Hi.

I'm looking for a new set of wheels.

I've been looking at 8x17" et35, and have then wondered if maybe 225/35/17 can go on it, without problems with a 40mm lowering?
Or maybe 235/40/17?

Would it be stupid to have 225/35 on the back, and then 205/35 or 215/35 on the front?

I used to have 215/35/18, and had no problems with the space.
