had my cam belt done today (on a sunday?!) it was done on the fiddle at the local gearbox centre (where i had my gear syncro mesh done)

So my point is - is £150 a good price? i have a fiat marea 1.8 16v ELX...

Also how long will it last till it needs to be renewed?

also since having it done on the dash where it tells you if you have any doors open a little orange bulb shape come up with a ? in the middle? whats this?

yes thats a good price, personally i would get it done every 50k

Did they do the tensioner as well or just the belt. Often it's the tensioner that goes rather than the belt itself.

just the belt, would it have cost much more for the tensioner?

Probably about £250 or so. Around that anyway.

about my question regarding the orange bulb type light showing on startup only.

Its a orange light bulb upside down with a ! in the middle and little dashs all around it.

Possibly the brake light warning. Is a brake light bulb out?
