Hey guys,

Just fitted remote central locking to my 1999 Marea. It's made by Meta and just plug in and you're there....HOWEVER...WARNING.....Don't follow the instructions as they say the control unit for the relay is behind the glove box. It's not and I spent hours faffing and taking mine to pieces before I looked under the back seat and it was there all the time grrrrrrrrrrr.

But now I have remote central locking with a good range - from speedup.it expensive but worth it in my book! Any of you know the simplest way of fitting a CD changer - I have one and all the leads (Grundig).

Cheers and remember "It's behind you!!!!" Well under the rear seat at least

you are the first person to have it under the seat, can i ask what year and model you have?

it is the yellow relay behind the glovebox on all other bravos bravas and mareas. i have never heard of a single exception to that rule in the past.

the meta m20 kit used to cost £20-30 on ebay, at a fiat dealership i think it is £70+.

hello,

My car is a 1.6sx 1999-revised version I think and the control unit to plug the yello transmitter is definately under the back seat! There's another socket under there which I have no clue of what it is - I hoped it was for the CD changer but alas. The remote central locking kit was bought from speedup just search that on google with the word Meta. I too new here to post url's! It cost around £50 but completely faultless and very easy to fit if you know where to plug it into!

I'm now intrigued why my car is different!!!!!!!!
