2002 Marea Weekend 100 ELX Auto.
Bit of an odd fault. After driving for just under an hour (tends to be motorway trips when going camping) the engine management light comes on, and the engine cooling fans kicks in on full belt. The fan then stays on and doesnt turn off till the engine is turned off - the last time it happened the engine temp had dropped to cold by the time I reach my destination. The next time I use the car, the fan doesnt kick in, but the management light stays on for maybe 30 mins, then goes off. Its done this 5 times in 9 months. The cooling system works normally the rest of the time (but have recently gained a slight leak, and may be running a little hot), I just get this fault on longer hauls.
Any ideas?
