Hi friends
Yesterday my air conditioner's fan stopped suddenly.
I disassembled it...
Here what's happening:
- Connected fan directly to battery, fan working ok!
- Compressor dont turns on with all wires from fan and rheostat connected, (A) (B) (C) (D) howhever if i unplug (A) compressor starts. If i plug (A) again and then unplug (C) compressor starts .
-Compressor also starts when the fan "wants to work", yes, it works sometimes, but i dont know if it is because of the faulty rheostat or because i shake the wires and it solves some kind of bad contact. I really dont know. But in these "times" when all is connected and fan "wants to work normally", compressor starts and all works ok.
- Orange and black wire plug ( A) has ALWAYS 12v, so no bad contact. Letter (D )plug has variable voltage from 0 to 4,5v as i adjust fan's speed in the control panel.
- (B) and (C) plugs and corresponding wires are ok, tested both.
Opinions please....faulty rehostat? Can it be faulty and work sometimes and others do not? Can this cause an intermittent fault?
Thank you so much
(i might have swaped (B) and (C) plugs but that only inverts the rotation of the fan, so this is not THE problem)
