I'll post some times up when i've been to the pod in august, like they say 'when the lights drop the bs stops':slayer:
 
i've never seen the performance of anything other than a 1.2 Punto and Punto 1.2 16v sportings, would be great to see a HGT punto though, and how that does. does the punto not weigh considereably less than the other cars that we are talking about.
 
what is it with you lot my matet got a yellow zr 160 and 0 to 60 i can cream him when he gets going hes quick when i hit bout 125mph he does cruel past me i never said i creamed him all the way til my car and his limited his tops out at 140 mine 130. with the rover coupe my mate jst got his and hes a awsome driver scarey to be a passanger in it.dare say if my mate had the grip to get his power down he would of outdid me but those cars are lacking 4wd from a stand still start.fact as wel my mate put a 106 gti engine in a xsi 106 and its quicker than a rover coupe turbo until the rover does over 130then its kiss googbye to 150mph (proven)audi tt's the guy pulled me over to a macdonalds where i lived and couldnt believe a punto hgt with just a bmc induction filter remaped and cat back magnex exhaust ,could keep up then cruel past .all that figures and stats your giveing of these cars dont bother giveing them waist of time (professional).yeah ther true but you dont own a hgt mate do you so youl never find out,o yeah theres a drag strip down here and a big meetings taken place in september at perranporth any one wanna see me thrash a tt an zr160 to quarter mile feel free to come down and watch

but yet, shut up, goto Pod and get your times if you think its so brillient.
 
the guy is just getting wound up at people saying his car is slow. any car can be driven fast if the driver is good enough.

The only real way to find out which is the better driver and which is the better car is to take it to various (legal motorsport) events that offer more than a straight line. Any one in the world can drive a car fast in a straight line. Racing on a public road is dangerous and illegal. So if the guy who owns the HGT takes it to these events with an MG ZR160, a Rover turbo, and an audi quattro. Maybe then he would find out which is really the best car, and maybe at certain things his car may come off best and the others at other things. In an autotest you hardly ever go above 60mph, so its not about speed in these tests, its about ability.



To really test a car out you need to autotest it, hill climb it, track race it, rally it. only then can you say that my car is better than yours or i'm a better driver.

the bloke owns an astate not nocking it but no need to take the pissout of other peoples cars on the forum when you drive a family car is it :slayer:

I too own an estate, which would probably cream your HGT despite its age and overall condition ;)
 
maybe they are but you cant believe **** until youv seen it can you i reckon i could have you on a 0 to 60
 
And mine is completely stripped..there is no interior at all, barring one drivers seat and a steering wheel

Saving weight....my ''family'' have to get the bus ;)
