Hi guys I’m new to the site. I recently purchased a 74 500 with a 650 in it. The other day I noticed an oil leak coming from the axle boot. Can someone help me figure out how to fix it ?

Needs a new rubber boot - they have an inbuilt seal. Take off the four bolts on the coupling wheelside. Shaft will slide back a bit and out - don't lose the spring. The boot is held in with 3 x 10mm nuts into the box. Take them off and it will all slide out. Circlip off slice off the end and put on the new boot.
