Is it just me, or does there seem to be less activity across the Forum these days. Perhaps the cars have become more reliable, or does the nation have other preoccupations?

Or am I totally wrong, there certainly aren't the hilarious disputes that there used to be!

It's true I'm afraid.

Facebook killed off quite a lot of the social banter - people just add each other and chat over that.

I also think the mobile app has maybe hurt conversations a bit too. Whereas people before would log on with the pc and join in topics randomly, it's a bit more fiddly to do that on a phone, so they don't bother.

There are plenty of meets that take place. Not so much this time of year as the weather is pretty miserable, and the days are shorter.

But Northwest Italia, Yorkshire Italia and Midlands Italia are all active sub-meets within the FF community (and some from elsewhere occasionally) that meet up monthly or bi-monthly. Working on intergrating these to align more with FF and the main shows is something that requires some tweaking.

I myself try to get to meets as often as work/funds permits. As for posting on the forum, i myself am quite guilty of being somewhat silent over the last year, and it is partly due to the fact the mobile app is somewhat lacking in that 'hands on' feel you get with the forum on a pc/laptop. I'm also guilty of being involved in facebook/whats app conversations with people i've met on here as its quicker and easier.

Personally, i should be more active again recently, as i've rekindled my love with the forum on pc, and enjoy browsing it more again. But your right in generally it seems quieter than its ever been...but it lives on!

I remember the days everyone went to work and logged on to here and chatted all day about this that and the other. Those were the days :p
F**k you facebook!

I remember when I used to be able to roll out the club in Tokyo on a Friday night, hit the internet cafe and still find people on here to talk to!

Interesting. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter, and my mobile is for talking and texting. I'm so old fashioned ;)

You are a "old" as you feel and as "fashioned" as you dress.

You are not alone. I'm not on facebook or twitter other social sites of that ilk.

I drive a Fiat thus have no friends :D

Sadly I think Facebook will be the death of forums. I reckon people like the fact that you can just talk to others who have the same model car as you (Panda, Punto etc) Saves scrolling through hundreds of unrelated posts to find something that interests you. I do realise that we have dedicated smaller sections in the forum, maybe some members don't?

Like others I have also been less active on here for the past few months. I've not even started a thread for the Panda yet!
