its a thing you attach to the steering wheel... looks kinda like a gear knob, but it has a bearing so you can rotate the steering wheel. But you're right, you wouldn't want that in your face.

no... you use it to steer with... so you only need one hand. its called a steering ball, and its used for disabled people. You can also find them on falked lift trucks, tractors and the like.

I steer already with one hand lol

It's a handle for persons with an handicap to the arms: it helps them turn the sterring wheel...

I think I have one of those round the house/garage somewhere - my mum used to have it on her Micra....

In her other hand, she had a remote control box, that controlled all the instruments on the car.

my mates dad has one on his sporting!! He only has use of one hand.

I know my mum had to have some driving assessment in Oxford, iirc, then she went onto Motability. Makes sense now.

My company Toyota has one.

Then again, it does have a 2 ton lift capacity, rear wheel steering and a side-shift. Handles baaad, too
