Why do fiat release these awesome looking cars in brazil neglect the rest of the world?

Something like this would do fantastic with a decent diesel lump and a good price tag. It's exactly the sort of thing people in this country seem to want these days! If people are willing throw 30k at a Hyundai 4x4 thing, surely a fiat equivalent would be just as popular!

Theres a big lack of non-german SUVs and Powerful estates on british roads. Think UK should learn from Australia and reduce insurance and tax and promote performance instead of Green factor.
Shame Subaru started putting diesel engines in the Imprezas, Foresters and Legacy.. If only they brought back the 2.4 Quad cam Twin turbo Forester :(

I have to disagree with you there. Any measure which discourages wasteful/inefficient vehicles is a good thing in my book.
Surely purchase and fuel costs put most folks off not the price of insurance or road tax?

It wouldn't though. Rightly or wrongly, Hyundai and Kia have the reputation for making decent and reliable cars. Fiat don't, and a Fiat based on an american car (most of which have been crap in the UK) is going to be a hard sell.

Fiat's strength is good looking small cars and I doubt they'd sell enough here to make it worthwhile building a right hand drive version.

I like this car. (y) I have seen it (and touched it) on the Autorai last year. They say that this car will be come to West Europe in the summer of 2011.
But it is now Autumn 2012 and there is no Freemont. :bang:

We Indian fans of FIAT are also facing the same problem in India.

Now its more than 4 years FIAT has reentered in India and has not launched new car. Indian portfolio of FIAT has only Punto and Linea. Linea is almost dead as sales figures are less than 100 per month since last few months.

Freemont is perfect SUV for FIAT to build its image to compete other SUVs but I dont why FIAT is not launching their cars across the world.
