I've been toying with the idea of selling the Alfa and getting another Fiat. I've narrowed down I would like to either a Strada 130TC, 127 GT, Panda 4X4 or a 500.

The Alfa is worth at least £2000. There is one in this months Auto Italia for £2250. My car has a full MOT and it's very solid. It's needs no bodywork at all and mechanically it's solid. The 1712 flat four boxer pulls like a train and the noise is like music to your ears. As much as I love it I really want another Fiat. Do you think I'm wasting my time advertising for a swap for one of the Fiats above? It would need to be in good condition with a more or less full MOT. My mates reckon I'm daft, what do you lot think?

i saw a nice strada 130tc in autoitalia this month, it needed work doing for it to pass its MOT, but from pic and description it sounded like the body was in top condition.

i was considering it for myself, but i realised i had no idea how to restore a car :(

if you did want a swap i would advertise in specialist magazines like auto italia or equivalent

personally i dont think you are daft, old school fiats are the way forward (y), i now wish i kept my panda 4x4 :bang:

Nah, not a Coupe. I want something I can insure as a classic. The four above are the ones I really want. :)
Strada or the 127 would be my choice but good ones are as rare as hens teeth as you no doubt know.

None of the Fiats mentioned would be worth £2000 or anywhere near really. Personally I'm a big fan of the 127 and having owned just about every variation I would say get a 127 1050 Sport.

The 1300GT was of the MK3 variety which is by far the worst looking of the 3 and the engine is really not that much to write home about in comparison to the Sport (70BHP for the Sport and 75 for the GT). The sport is gorgeous especially in Arancio Racing Orange which is still my favourite Fiat colour of all time.
However, as Liam says Hens teeth really are more plentiful than a 127 Sport or GT and the Strada is only slightly less rare but get a goodun and you'll have loads of fun. Only thing I will say is that whatever 127 you look at they are worth £500 in absolute mint to A1 condition and no more. Anything that needs work is £300 max.

So, I guess you just need to find 4 127s. :)
