I run a Jan 2001 Sporting Speedgear. It's a 7-speed and not a 6-speed. If you have air conditioning, watch out because a leak developed on the exchanger pipe and it had to be re-gassed twice (yes twice)
Another thing is the headlight bulbs are a chore to replace - you have to loose the unit in order to get to the back! Halfords could not do this so it had to go to Grays of Warwick to be done.
I have done nearly 30,000 miles for your information.

I have a 2001 Punto and find the acceleration and handling to be quite impressive, especially for a 1.2 litre 8v motor.

only problem so far is the car overheated recently, I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the fan...only took just an hour and I was back on the road again.
