Fiat Panda Hgt 2006????

I'm looking (Local Auction) at several Yellow Panda HGT with Abarth badged Body kits, alloy wheels, gear knob, and two tone blue/grey steering wheel. It looks like a MK2 body (no radiator on bonnet) which to me ended in 2003 but these are registered 6/1/06. Could these have been lying around for a few years before being bought in bulk by firm and registered in 06 or could they be re-registered in 06 to N.Ire numbers. Any ideas, private buyer, not Fiat anorak. Can be bought for £2.8k + fee which looks ok but don't want to buy a funnie.
Come back asap as deal could be done on Monda. Thanx.

i'm sure you mean a punto HGT but beyond that i can't particularly help.

there are some odd late model mk2's dave has one, i think they were originaly for the japanese market but something happened to the ship they were on and by the time it was all sorted a few years had passed and the mk2b had been launched

i know a similar thing happens with alfa 156's. they sat in a container in singapore or malaysia for several years before ending up on the uk market. its no biggy as long as the full warranty applies, however a timing belt that has sat unused for years is a real risk and should be changed asap.

Thaks for reply . Sorry ment Punto Hgt. Jap export deal sounds near it, same thing happened over here with load of old Jeeps that where lying in Burmah or somewhere.
