Hi Everyone,

I Have a 96 Punto GT and i replaced a bulb in the console in the roof lining the otherday - but i unhooked all the wires to fit the bulb properly. When i reattached the wiring i discovered that my remote lock from my key would'nt work. I took it to Fiat here in NZ and they basically scratched their head. I have spoken to some other people and they are unsure what the problem could be. The central locking using the door lock works fine, its just the remote from the key that won't activate.

The key remote i have had checked and it is ok. I also followed the owners manual on reprogramming the key to to receiver....did'nt do anything but blink the red light at me.

Has anyone had anything like this happen to them. Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Brent

check all your fuses you might have blown one also check you connected the wires up right have you disconnected the sensor pickup by accident, try pointing your remote at the front window aim at the pickup sensor see if that works you just might need new batterys in the fob/remote, finally site in the car and put the red key in to reset the system if you have one if not and the car runs ok then just keep trying or just use the key to get in fixing could be costly at fiat

I have had endless trouble with my remote central locking on my bravo. i know that the recieving unit is in the console with all the switches and lights. on the bravo there is a wire coming outa the unit which i can only presume is a kinda anttena for the remote central locking as its a bit of wire comming out and not connecting to anything .. just glued around the plastic casing.

this mite not be anything like how urs work but u cud check that u havent disconected the wire from the circuitry bored or nehting
