well.. ive been on payg for the last 8 years or so.. thinking its time for a contract phone now, means i can repalce my 3 year old nokia 7250i (which cost me £250!) too.

been looking around, and apart from my very first phone i've always used nokias, so looked at them first. n80 looks pretty good. but then i saw the sony erricson k800i.. which i like a lot too.

anyone got either of these phones and would you recomend them?

Well the story is the Nokia N series phones have got loads of problems with them. Its the usual Nokia unreliability issues. The N series will get its reliability in time, but it takes Nokia a while to sort out. Look elsewhere, perhaps Nokia phones the N series replaced?? :)

sounds like one to stay away from!

its looking like k800i :)

I had 8 Nokia 6280's in 3 weeks, Orange told me the N80 which I asked to upgrade to was just as bad; slide issues and CAMERA problems. In fact, Orange have stopped ordering the 6280; avoid Nokia at all costs I was told.

Now I've got the new Samsung E900 Touchscreen phone; wonderful, great phone, best phone I've ever had (camera is great too, used to have a K750i and it beats that and the 6280 hands down).

iv got the nokia n80 and iv had no problems with it so far.

the cameras excellent, cant fault it.

my only criticism of it is that its bit big compared to other phones

I have the N70... never had a problem. I got Pics available if you want to see them, they are really good when you take them in daylight.

My mate has the N80... it seems to have a bit of a software problem, but these things can be updated I believe.

After having the K750i for the last year, I upgraded to the K800i, however, I am glad I didn't buy a memory card for the K750i as it is a different card.

Oh, makes phone calls to, which is always a bonus on a phone!!!
