i don't want all my hair purple, just bits of it.

not too keen on buying crap dye and ending up with green hair or something like that!

anyone know any decent semi permenant purple hair dye i can use for doing highlights?

found this one ebay

but then saw these, glows in uv! ace

friends mum was a hairdresser so it'll be her doing it, and not me making a total hash of it - she has one of them hat things that u put on and then pull bits of hair through, so u dont end up with clumps of dyed hair!

The semi-permanant bright purple ones all fade really quickly in my experience. There are some permanant mainstream bright ones now (think Schwartzkopf do some) that are no doubt much better. I think your hair colour would look quite ummmmm unusual with just purple bits though, have you thought about black/ blond/ dark brown as a base to set it off?

I did my hair purple several years ago - didn't leave the dye in long enough, got myself a perminant dot cotten red rinse

Wasn't the mad out there kinda look I was after at the time :bang:

i was just thinking along the lines of semi permanant as i might (if i get off my arse) have to attend a job interview or two for a proper grown up job ( )

I think i might be ok with just purple cos now it's summer, my hair has gone blonder thanks to the sun

could do black bits in there too though i guess. once i've had a shower and stuff might bung a pic up of my current hair colour

ebay aside, wheres the best place to get such things from?

Was in superdrug yesterday saw some semi-permanant dye in there red and purple and blue maybe a few others aswell. Sorry can't remember the brand name but they were quite cheap and in tubes. Maybe have a look around the high st.
