) He pays £2k for the Evo and £1.7k on the Impreza. But the Impreza's being sold this weekend as he finally saw sence that he couldnt drive two cars at once. Now he only has the Micra

At £1.70 for an Impreza, I think I might get one. Didn't realise insurance was that cheap for one of those. Who has your mum gone with?

as we all know hire cars no matter what they are go double as quick to the normal version you buy

Nothing handles like a hire car. I remember razing a 1.2 Punto ELX through my village. I was reving the nuts off it.
I wasn't speeding though, just doing 30mph in first for a mile or so.
