Hi all,

I've had a massive fallout with my current provider Wanadoo, suffice to say i will never recommend them to anyone!

I need a new provider and quick but i need some names of providers and prices if poss.

Any recommendations?

Your help is much appreciated!:)

i fell out with mine too! (freeuk)

NDO, Vispa, F2Surf, plusnet and Eclipse seem to be the top dogs.

im onl plusnet 2mbit and well enjoying it :) and its also ipstream and not the crappy datastream.

stay well clear of the cheaper provider, big namers.

I'm with NTL 1.5 meg connection. We got it free for 4 months... was meant to be 2 but they messed up about so much they gave us 4.

I wouldnt recommed them... i think you have to have a ntl phone line to have their BB anyway?

im with pipex, no contract but a £60 cancelation fee if i cancel within 12 months

no probs so far and there customer services are very helpful

pipex at work - we did a lot of research and coz its for a charity we have to get best value for money so i would say pipex.

also with BT at home - i hated being with them on my own pc in my room which is dial up but the BB in the home office is very good and no probs so far - but i would stick with pipex :)

I am with NTL as well, on the 300K service for 17.99 a month. In the year or so i have been with them i have only had one problem and that was recently, but when i rang the helpline the lovely lady was very helpful. then again when i rang them about my webspace the guy on the other end could not even delete a folder from my webspace (useless!!!)

Anyways my point was that my NTL BB is setup without using the NTL phone lines in the house, when they installed it the fella who came ran a dedicated cable for the BB from the dax box to my external modem. Prefer it that way though :D

I have a few friends who are with telewest and they say that they ar3e great.

Rich: I am almost 100% sure that telewest would support where you are living now.

Im not saying that the people werent helpful. They were helpful. Its just that they messed up and started charging us for it when it was free and when we got it installed there was a problem with their database so i couldnt register it and it was a pain.

I think peoples opinions of NTL are very mixed... at the end of the day they're cheap so we put up with it :)

I am also looking for broadband as our lines have been upgraded so we can now have ADSL here (still no cable, doubt it will ever happen now), so this thread has been very useful! My only requirements are 512k or over, no download limit and no bloatware, so if anyone has any thoughts I'd be pleased to hear them, otherwise I'll go trawl the ADSLguide.
