my first insurance cost me £639.71 on a cinq sporting, third party f&t on my own policy at 18, no previous expierience, that was a year and a half ago with quinn, insurance has shot up the past year again though, i was almost the same again for my sei sporting with a years ncb!

Mods are only visual, exhaust tinted windows, rear lights, sporting front bumper& skirts, alloys, clear indicators & side repeators.

Churchill are good im with them and i pay £560 a year fully comp but im a girl and have a year no claims.

Admiral seem good aswell i can get insured through them on a GT for £800 and boyfriend who is 18 is £900.

I'm 18 years old and I managed to insure my fiat punto ELX for about £1200 on fully comprehensive. Price is so low mainly because my parents are on the policy as well. If you want to keep costs down, then I'm afraid you'lle have to put your parents on the policy ;) I am still the main driver however

Doesn't always work, and you have to ensure they are not the primary drivers if you are the one driving it the most (plus you wouldn't get a real NCB, only an in house if you're lucky and could be shafted for fronting).

If I put my mum on the policy goes up £54 (11 years NCB) and if I put my dad on (15 years NCB) ij now jumps £250 with him being a driving instructor  (was just £54 again before the new job).

no surprises here i'm afraid. insurance for the young team ends up costing more than the car itself. to be honest & i know you're not going to like it, but if you stand any chance at all of lowering your premiums, get the car back to standard for starters & get another older named driver. your still going to high but not as much as first thought:D aye life's tough when you're young:eek: wait till you get older:devil:
funnily enough ive had all my best quotes through brokers most of the time
