Hello Again Ladies and Gents  ,

Is there any point of amping component speakers to give them bass if I already have a sub that provides plenty of bass? and does amping speakers give them better sound?

Just bought a JBL GT4 sub and Im looking to purchase InPhase 6.5" front components. no RMS but gives spec of 240w (Im thinking this is the MAX)

My point is - should I buy 2 aftermarket speakers to sit in the door to upgrade the standard speakers or should I amp the InPhase and put them in the doors with the crossovers and tweeters (tweeters will sit on dash)

The amp I am hoping to use will be a JBL 75.4 (4 Channel)

Cheers :D

Cheers Paul, much appreciated (y)

Beau - The speakers are rated at 120 RMS - gave the company a call just a minute ago.

Now all I need is some pods to hold them. If anyone knows where I can get some gimme a call. Im frantically looking to find GT doorcards problem is that i have roll down windows. Im looking to shorten the winder so the speaker pods will fit flush with no obstruction.

Stop Teasing Beau!! :p

Cinque, Done a bit of digging in the forum and found that i'll need a wiring loom :( Personally im not to electronically minded and the job of switching the looms seems a bit of a task. What about aftermarket electric windows? or can I connect the part of the, say, ELX electric window loom to my 60s Team loom? So the windows will work. Cheers (y)
