As I've declared in my presentation post, I own a FIAT PUNTO Mk2 '00 Selespeed with a standard Radio. My wife asked me to upgrade her Radio to CD, I purchased a Original Fiat Punto Radio w/CD from Blaupunkt at ebay including the necessary code.

I tought that it was just "plug-and -play", but the infamous words CAN CHECK was the only output I got from the radio after having switched the radios.

I asked in a spanish FIAT Forum, and they told me to check the positions of the different cables of the radio/car. I checked them as good as I could trying to make them fit, but with no positive result.

Some days ago, a forum member pointed into another direction: the rampantapathy shop

It seems that they sell a chip that will allow me to solve my problem, although the cost (80eur) seems to high for the final value of my solution.

Can any forum member help me in this matter?

The tool available from RampantApathy is mainly used to disable CANCHECK while an engineer is repairing a Punto radio/CD player. They would then re-enable it after completing the repair.

If you can find a car radio repairer near to you in Spain, they will be able to just disable CANCHECK for you for less than €80 (EUR)

Hmm thats strange. If i were you i would post in one of our many Blaupunkt Code threads and have another code generated just in case the one you have is wrong. It explains the numbers that are needed to generate the code in the threads.
Thats all that i can think of TBH. If anything else comes to mind ill let you know.

When I turned the radio on, there was no way of entering any code. That's the reason first of all I tried to match all the different cables between the radio and the car, but with no sucess
