hi people, i have a fiat stilo now!!
and on the drive back from the trader, i noticed that the audio on the left isnt working!
just want to know where to start looking??
its not the balance setting before you ask.
im going to be installing ICE, so a bit pointless to take it back to them for them to fix it only for me to rip it out, just want to fix it for now....

There was something like this the other day. What year is the car. It fets pretty damp behind the doors so could be a corroded connection.
Apart from that try taking the ISO out and pushing it back in.

its an 02......will be trying to install the diamond comps tomorrow if the speaker cable comes...so will try and remidy then aswell.

errrm lolol, nope, i guess its not like the punto, ie, poke a hole in a gasket, then push it thru...

Na there is a connector with a grey plastic cylinder just pull the grey part up and it will come off then just drill the bit that attaches to the door in a part that has no pins. It should just pop out of the door if i remember correctly. The red thing is just a piece of protective plastic take that out and you will be able to see where the pins are and where you can drill.
Have a look in my gallery for how to build the speaker pods easily. You will need to cut out the original speaker cone and snap the spiders out. I used wire cutters to get the plastic from where the spider used to be to get it flush.

OK the plot thickens....i sorted out the wiring today,
only to find a very WEIRD problem
as before with OEM unit there is nothing from front left, but the rear left...hmmm, there was before on the OEM unit, but that didn't go very loud at all.
now with a blaupunkt connected, the rear is there, then if i go past a certain volume the head unit goes dim, and the rear left crackles, then BOTH rear speakers cut out???
and how for the love of god do you get the rear interior panels off of a 3 door!!!
someone PLEASE put me out of my misery......

Take out the rear seats, seat belt bolts and covers over the rear pillars. Undo all of the screws and take off the the front kick plates then pull th epanels off of the poppers.

minus a few flaps of skin and your done lol, now i have deduced tha there is a short in one of the speakers cables i have run down the left hand side of the car....not impressed. lol
