Somewhere in my head...
Ok, so I'm planning on going stereo shopping this weekend and I as I know absolute squat about stereos/speakers/amps etc, I need all the help/advice I can get

My origional plan was simply to get a new stereo for plain ole CDs & somewhere to connect an Ipod.

Then I've been told the GP speakers arn't too great with a better stereo, so would need these aswell....

I'm not wanting to spend loads of money, and certainly don't want to fill my boot up with stuff, so is there any suggestions on what set up I could get? I just want a decent stereo with some nice bass, nothing too fancy or overpowering.

Any help/comments/advice is muchly appreciated, but please, keep it simple so I can understand :D
xx

Close then, I'm in Halifax.

I ask so I could try recommend someone nearby, in this instance it would the people I use called Source Sounds near Sheffield (just off J36 on the M1), about 30 mins from you.

Or would you be wanting to fit it yourself?

Ah k thanks, I'll try them.
I'd love to be able to fit it myself, but wouldn't know where to start and would probably end up with the wipers working from the volume control and indicators on the radio presets :p. Would prefer someone to do it for me who knows what they're doing lol

Im sure you could fit it yourself no problems. You will need a fiat genuine Fascia adaptor which can be bought from ebay.... Sorry you are wanting a bit more than that i would check source and see what they have to say.
Also try Adrian at Phattbeats 01226 755999 say Stuart from Margate sent you.

Im really feeling some of the fusion stuff right now this looks ace for the money, infact im off to call fusion now i want to try one of these babies out.

Edit2: another problem/question - would I be able to fit the HU like ^^^ that one, and get the adapter lead things so that it works with my steering wheel controls?

May bob down then - There's a place in Brighouse that my mate has recommended, so will stop in there first. If I can't find what I'm after then source will be stop no.2.

Anyone know what speaker sizes are in tan 07 5dr GP? can't seem to find any info anywhere

I'm not 100% but the 3 door is 6.5" in the front cant see the 5dr being different in the front, not much point in replacing the rears to be honest.
