Stilo Fixing a seized boot lock on a FIAT STILO

If your lock barrel badly damaged you can still fix the whole unit.

Get a working donor lock from a breaker.

Disassemble it as written above. When you managed to get hold of the actual donor lock barrell you continue like this:

Insert your key into it, you will see that some of the reeds retract some of them not. Grab a file or dremel and make them flat with the aluminium barrell, you might need to poke the reeds from underside to get more access, when done put it back in the housing with your key and try if it is moving freely.:slayer: If yes reassemble it AFTER CLEANING AND GREASING!!!
